Law firms are classed as ‘high risk’ cyber attack targets. A major benefit of the dpscloud solution is the protection we offer our users against external and internal malicious activity. The use of dpscloud also enables clients who want to apply for Cyber Insurance to meet the scrupulous checks undertaken by their insurers.
As part of dpscloud, we make sure that your data is safe from cyber attacks.
Our company received its certificate of accreditation to the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 international standard for information security management in 2012 and has recently been upgraded to the new standard- ISO/IEC 27001:2013. In order to gain this accreditation, we were audited by the British Standards Institution (BSI) over a Stage 1 preliminary audit and a two day Stage 2 certification audit.
In order to keep our clients’ data secure, we implement a series of checks and procedures that are designed to change with the clients’ needs and ensure that data can only be accessed by authorised persons for legitimate reasons. Furthermore, all data stored on our system is encrypted, making it illegible to third parties.
dpscloud control the devices that can connect to our network including mobile devices such as laptops, tablets, smartphones and USB devices. This high level of control minimises the risk of unauthorised access to your data.
All client data is stored in DPS’s own data centre and is backed up using the Bunker’s cloud storage facilities, thereby complying with the requirements of the Solicitors Regulation Authority, including definitive data location.
Cyber Security Audits
We have a dedicated Information Security team to ensure that DPS are at the forefront of information security within the legal sector. Our team can also conduct internal audits at your offices to help you evaluate the policies and procedures you have in place, to recommend new controls and help you become Cyber Essentials accredited, if you so wish.
